Four letters ago we described a door in Athens that stays half open. This autumn, it opens.
Over the past weeks we have written to you about a hide laid flat on a cutting table, about edges finished in slow passes. We have not shown you a single piece. That was deliberate. FELUS has never been a house that leads with the piece; we lead with the world it comes from, and we wanted you to know that world first.
What we can now confirm
FELUS is introducing leather. The pieces are bags, cut and finished in an Athens workshop. They stand beside our raffia rather than replacing it: the same house, a second material, a second season of the year finally answered.
How to be first
The first look goes to the people already in our world, those who receive our letters, before it appears anywhere else. If you are not yet among them, the simplest way is to join the FELUS mailing list at felus.shop.
One last question
Everything we make begins with the same question: when do you feel the most free? We asked it again in Athens this summer, standing in a room that smelled of leather and coffee, and the answer had something to do with the weight of a thing made well, carried through a city, for years.
