FOAM: Where Aphrodite Meets the Shore

Before there was desire, there was foam. In the oldest telling, Aphrodite did not arrive so much as form — out of sea foam and salt, the first woman made entirely of the wish to be wanted. FOAM, our newest collection, begins there.

ἀφρός — she was born of the sea

The Greek word for foam is aphros, the root of Aphrodite's own name. She stood on a shell and came to shore. Every piece in this collection carries a trace of her: the pearl, born in the same water she was. The shell that carried her in. Glass worn smooth like a wave caught mid-break.

Nothing here is ornament

We didn't set out to make jewellery that decorates. We wanted to make jewellery that remembers something older than fashion — the first shape a woman took, before she had to explain herself to anyone. Nothing in FOAM is loud. It doesn't need to be.

Made by hand, one piece at a time

FOAM is handmade by Melita, on bare cord for bare skin — the Alexandra, Linda, Melita, Natalia, Evangeli, and Aphrodite necklaces, each named for a woman. Worn low, worn wet, worn like you have somewhere to be and no intention of hurrying. The oldest kind of power, made new.
